confessions of a workaholic
first graders are the scariest of people.
i have five game days t-shirts. i only paid for one of them.
i ate four peaches today. one for breakfast, one at lunch, and two at dinner.
growing out your bangs is hard.
i want to learn how to take really good pictures.
part of me is a little bit sad that i'll never watch mariano rivera pitch again.
when i was little i wanted to grow up to be a cashier.
i have five game days t-shirts. i only paid for one of them.
somedays i don't feel cut out to be a teacher. today was one of the those days.
i miss practicing.
i've been craving milk lately. i've never craved milk in my entire life.
most days i wish i was a wedding planner.
life is really scary sometimes.

PEOPLE

One of my favorite days.
I cannot get enough of this kid.
Some days I really want to move to Dallas to be with Kirk and Paul Anka.
#stjohnsswag
My family is top notch.
I know I've said it before. But I have THEE greatest friends.
I've learned a lot of things this summer. The least of which is not that I will never work at Cold Stone again.
Sorry, got side tracked there for a second.
I've learned a lot of things this summer. At the very top of the list: PEOPLE. Spend time with them. Laugh with them. Cry with them. Talk with them. Be stupid with them. Make memories with them. Take pictures of them. Take pictures with them. Be with them. Love them.
I have been overwhelmed by the incredible people in my life and I thank the Lord every day for them and the wonderful blessing they are to me. I wish I could spend more time with all of them. It's another one of my recent goals. I'm always the very happiest when I'm with the people I love.
I hope you have some gems like these in your life.

I Miss Jazz Band
Two posts in one week. Say what?
Yeah, it's freaking me out, too.
Bear with me as I get used to this "consistent blogging" business.
Can I just say, I really want the iPhone 5S. I was gonna be smart and all and when I my update is available in February just get the 5. I save tons of money and still get a sweet beans phone. But guys, the 5S is too cool. I gotta have it. I want to feel like some secret agent every time I want to turn my phone on and it has to scan my thumb print. But really, though. Wouldn't that be awesome sauce?
Side note: I love football. Saturday night can't come soon enough.
Guess what I get to do tonight? Yep. Homework that was due yesterday. Go me. :)
Also, missed a phone call from a trombonist last night. Really wish I hadn't.

But more importantly. I have a new nephew.
This is your cue to drool over the handsome baby Micah.

sam seaborn's a babe
For one of my classes this semester I'm supposed to be doing some "personal writing". He told us that a blog definitely counts, as long as it's consistent. I figure this is the perfect opportunity to actually keep my blog up to date. It's been a pretty rough summer in that department.
I did TONS of fun things this summer and took a lot of pictures of all of it, so I'll eventually get all of that on here.
In the mean time, I figure I'll just give you a brief update of my life.
Jules, Kritsen, Buddy, and I all moved to Singletree! (Yes, I also think that's an incredibly stupid name for an apartment complex in Provo for single girls...) We love it and it's been a lot of fun getting to know a bunch of new people.
I'm in my last semester of classes - WOO. I start my student teaching in January and I could not be more excited. It's going to be an absolutely crazy and exciting adventure.
The gardener and the missionary are both married. It's been an interesting experience watching them both move on and make that big step in life. I'm really so happy for both of them and am grateful for the friendships that I have with them.
I've made a decision to be more positive. I've realized I say the word 'hate' far too often. I don't even know what I say it about, but I know that I say it. There's just so much good in the world I feel like I dwell on the negative a little too much. So, I am going to remove the word 'hate' from my vocabulary (except when it comes to onions, black licorice, and Alex Rodriguez).
I'm also recently addicted to The West Wing. Go watch it. You'll love it.

Go tell someone you love them.

Planning your little sister's wedding is probably one of the greatest things in the world.
And after who knows how many pictures, let's just say I'm super awesome at fluffing wedding dresses.
Unfortunately, when your hands are full doing satin buttons, placing center pieces, decorating cars, holding babies, greeting jillions of people etc. you don't get to take very many pictures.
I seriously took probably 10 the whole day.
Depressing.
Not to fret, she had an amazing photographer.
Seriously can't wait for marikokayphotography.com to post pictures of their beautiful wedding.
Anyway, not really that important.
Look how happy these two are! I'm just so thrilled for them.
Everyone keeps asking me, "Isn't it so hard to see your little sister get married before you?"
Silly people.
My response, "Absolutely not."
Sure, I'm bummed I haven't met Mr. Right yet, definitely looking forward to that day.
But I got to sing '22' on my birthday as a very single woman.
Abby doesn't get that enormous pleasure.
But really though, how can I not be over the moon happy for them?
They're so perfect for each other.
I mean, Steven shoots rubberbands at Abby.
Somebody wins favorite brother-in-law award.
They were sealed for time and all eternity in the temple and that's more important that anything in the world.
I've prayed for happiness like this for my little sis my whole life and now she's got it.
All I've got it smiles for the both of them.
Congratulations, you two. Love you to pieces.
